Advertising a sale on social media? Don't forget to show what you're selling! Graphics are great, but a photo tells the story.
I run across this all the time. Really cute graphic, probably created on Canva, all the right information about where, when, how much off, etc. But no mention of what's being sold! No photo. There are millions of items on sale every day. Why should anyone click to see something completely unknown?
If your business name is very specific, no problem. Callie's Luxury Chocolates. A great design might be enough.
If you're advertising a special insiders' sale, also no problem. Special Sale. Email Subscribers Only. They already know who you are and what you sell. Although even here, a sample photo might be advisable.
The photo in the ad will represent your entire sale and your entire business. So make it a good one!
