I'm a marketing communications consultant, copywriter and trainer with 30+ years' experience delivering powerful sales and marketing solutions to major international companies, high-potential startups, small businesses of all types, high-profile individuals, nonprofit organizations, and volunteer community efforts.
INTERNATIONAL MARKETING & PR CAMPAIGNS
For most of my career, I worked with high-powered global marketing and PR teams on complex business-to-business and business-to-consumer projects. These included large-scale product launches and marketing campaigns, sales and marketing materials and presentations, press packages, and other related projects. Clients that were represented often had been listed among the Forbes/Fortune 500.
Other copywriting work has included full corporate websites and high-figure corporate sales presentations, as well as diverse projects ranging from consumer health pamphlets and corporate bios to Google ads and telemarketing scripts.
JOURNALISM
For many years, I also created and managed large-scale client success programs, detailing gains accomplished by major banks, financial institutions, and hospitals, as well as scientific organizations such as Los Alamos Laboratories and the Hubble telescope. Much of this work involved extensive journalistic interviews, which I repackaged as targeted pieces highlighting the benefits and features of my clients' products and services, or the qualities of the people behind them.
OTHER EXPERIENCE
I've been the marketing manager for a graphic design house, marketing research manager at a well-known healthcare publishing firm, and the managing editor of both an 80,000+ distribution, bimonthly corporate publication and the newsletter of a West Coast nonprofit.
VOLUNTEER EFFORTS AND NONPROFITS
Over the years, I've also worked on community volunteer teams, serving as Vice Chair of the Master Plan Committe in local town government, helping neighbors in a 20+ year effort to postpone a poorly designed local development project, coordinating a large volunteer group for a local nonprofit, and serving as secretary for the local branch of a large international religious organization.
TRAINING
In addition, I have a long teaching history. I've conducted many corporate seminars and earlier in my career taught English at various levels. Some trainings might still available on a case-by-case basis (no fee for volunteer organizations), and include:

FUN FACT
I was among a select group of individuals who published crosswords in The New York Times in the days before software existed to help. Legendary Times editor Eugene Maleska accepted my very first submission. In his handwritten congratulatory note, he was kind enough to refer to me as a rara avis (referring to a popular puzzle term meaning "rare bird") for "achieving such skill so fast."
